Do Jews, Christians & Muslims worship the same God ?

Yes, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are collectively known as the Abrahamic religions because they all trace their spiritual heritage to the Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim عليه السلام) and share a foundational belief in one, supreme God. While their scriptures, theological interpretations, and religious practices differ, Islam acknowledges that both Jews and Christians originally followed the same monotheistic belief—worshipping Allah—and that prophets such as Moses (Musa عليه السلام) and Jesus (Isa عليه السلام) were authentic messengers sent by Him.

[1] The Islamic Perspective: One God, One Divine Message

Allah—The Common God of the Abrahamic Faiths

“And do not argue with the People of the Book except in a way that is best… and say, ‘We believe in what was revealed to us and what was revealed to you. Our God and your God is One, and to Him we submit.’”
(Qur’an 29:46)

This verse highlights the shared spiritual roots between Muslims, Jews, and Christians. Despite differences in doctrine and religious practice, all three faiths ultimately direct their worship to the same God—the One who revealed divine guidance to prophets such as Moses and Jesus (peace be upon them). Islam honors this common ground, while affirming that its own message is the final and complete revelation from Allah.
